Which organ shall we use?
June 21st, 2009
Ok i know the title sounds all medical and stuff but don’t worry it’s nowhere near….hmmm on second thoughts let’s make it a bit medical:
OK *uses doctor voice* so..the two organs in question today are the pumping heart and the human brain…. Which one to use? Which one should we listen to? (Which one shall we dissect?? !!) They more or less work together, if the heart doesn’t pump blood containing oxygen to the brain, then the brain stops working and if the brain stops working the heart will eventually stop pumping because of the lack of electrical impulses bla bla bla…anyway i think you get what i mean..BUT unfortunately when it comes to reasoning it’s a completely different story!! How many time are you sooo confused trying to figure out what to do? Whether to listen to what your brain is telling you or what your heart is telling you???Gosshhh it’s soo annoying! What should we listen to? Fine you might say “Find a balance between both, like duhhhhh!!” But NO, it’s not always the case. You can’t balance them out when they’re telling you totally different things!!!
I think the more i grow (ohhhhh xi hlew) and have to face different problems and situations, I learn that it’s best to use your brain and be logical! Maa it’s soo sad ay? In these fairytale films a character says “Just listen to your heart” Wow aaa prosit hafna! * sarcasm* I wish Cinderella or Aladdin lived on planet earth then they’d know what would happen if they always followed their heart!! HMMPPHH In certain cases i know it’s extremely hard to use your brain but i think it’ll be worthwhile…*Doctors voice again* Ok lets stitch the human back up…….. Ohh someone’s been watching too much Greys.. cough cough
Anyway those were my thoughts for today… The conclusion to the question is sad and sucks i know….. dumdumdumdum.. i dunno what else to say… Bye x.x.x

oo i like it
sometimes it’s good to risk and listen to your heart, cause maybe reason will want us to stay in our own comfort zone, not wanting us to get harmed.. but the heart triggers us to do something more, something out of the ordinary, to risk even if the possibility [of watever we'd like to happen] is 50/50.. then what is life if we don’t risk? u only live once
but then the brain might be more careful, and we gotta think twice u know? maybe the two organs can both work together chan!
what if lets say… there’s a person you really love who’s holding on a branch, and when the person starts falling off, your heart tells you to jump off and catch them.. but your brain, knowing that gravity is much stronger than you, tells you wait wait! get a rope and let them hold on to it.. so maybe these two can work a bit together even if they can’t balance off each other, but they can help each other
wuv uuu
keep it up!

The heart doesn’t exist - it’s just the more emotional and personal part of your brain.
But I think that it’s best to follow the rational part of the brain…until the time comes when both tell you the same thing
Gby, as always *hug*

the heart is myogenic
so the first part is incorrect. le honestly coming to the actual blog.. mostly i agree with what mar said. Like you cant take it in general and say always follow your heart or always follow your brain imo.. but neither can you say follow both because as u said (lol nd knowing one of the situations youve got in mind) they often tell you to do totally opposite things. I kno its no conclusion in itself but my answer would be it depends on the situation.. and tho the brain (or logical nd reasoining side) should always be a part of the decision, if you always depend on facts and the best logical thing to do i think youll end up doing much less in life and missing some great chances..so like mar said we need to be ready to take risks

i wonder from where you got your obsession with greys hmm
:p
anyway like the previous post its really good and really true and i can just imagine you saying it. I really get you though. Most of the time my ‘heart’ and brain are conflicting. It’s like the punic wars. Always at each other. Meh. Like the quote tipo…”my brain keeps telling me to move on yet my ehart is retarded and i still love you.” Aa well. Occassionally though like the others said, you need to go with intuition, or your gut feeling. Chances are you’re making the right decision. =)
